Agar Powder

For those of you who do not know, gelatin is extracted from animal skin and bones. Nasty!, and not alkaline. Agar-Agar is alkaline. Derived from red algae, it is the Vegan substitute for gelatin. Add to Brazilian nut cheese, Jelly and more.
